Some designs laying around on my computer from the past few weeks. (Below) Some variation of a fisherman character from a short story I boarded. Trying to use very boxy self containing shapes.

(Above) This is an idea I had for a maquette based on the classic lead soldier toy. It would be a cool addition to my toy collection. Needs some more work before it can be properly modeled though.

This guy is my take on a 60s action hero. Race Bannon from Jonny Quest type of guy. I might develop him further.

I'm doing so much long term work that I cant post very often...or at all. But heres some stuff laying around from the past few months.

This is a still of my Action Analysis Animation. I was missing a few frames for this one... don't like it enough to finish it. I'm mucking around with some other animations though. I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would.

Here are some simple concepts all done in Photoshop.

Contrary to popular belief, I'm not dead. Finished second year. So I'm pretty happy about that. Because of work and some long term projects, I'll likely be posting less than before my hiatus. That being said, I have a lot of half finished stuff laying around that I hope will see the light of day....hopefully.

Heres a concept painting for my portfolio. Graphite underline drawing. All photoshop painting. I've been studying some new bounce light methods. The values aren't as solid as I'd liked them to be, but I learned a lot.

Long time no post...

I've been pretty busy working in Ottawa for the past two and a half weeks so I didn't really have time for personal work. The project I'm working on is so awesome....but I cant really post about it considering it hasn't been released yet. I'm back in Oakville now working on a few things that are close to completion.

In other news,

I recently illustrated the twelfth hand for the Hitote Project, a collection of illustration surrounding the theme of hands. I did a pretty abstract piece. I used some new tecniques and experimented with different brushes and textures.

Also, I'm going to be feature in the next issue of Imagine FX Magazine. A magazine for digital science fiction and fantasy art. I'll post an image of the page as soon as I receive it.

About tome for a new template. They're still a few things a have to be worked out and things get shifted on Explorer..but IE is probably the worst web browser around. Coding is not my friend. The links got deleted and I had to repost them, lemme know if I forgot any of you. I just moved back to Oakville this weekend. The 2nd year studio is looking snaggy. Boris and I are pinpin out our studio too... were adding a new bookcase oooo!

I have to go back to Ottawa soon to get my tonsils removed. So, I think I've pretty much set the record for most sick on one year. Someone should give me a trophy and a tetanus shot.

Haven't been drawing very much. I've been spending a lot of time reformatting my computer so I can give it to my brother. Because I'm getting a new computer. Its gotten so bad I cant work in printable sizes anymore and I'm already maxed out on ram. I don't really have many options cause its a laptop (a very heavy one). But aside from that it has served me well. I'm pretty excited about the new computer :D. Except it'll cost me all my summers work basically...boo.

A ps paint sketch i did last week. The actual file is only like 200 pixels wide because it started off as just a photoshop doodle. Complexion reference used for the skin...I'm sucha dork. I'm starting work again this Monday. That should keep me pretty busy, but I have a longer deadline this time so I should have more free time. Yusss.
